NMP – Trustees

We have 10 Trustees whose task is to acquire the Northern Meeting Park and bring it in to Community Ownership.

Jon Ford – Chairperson

Jon is “retired” and apart from being Chairperson of the NMPG he is President of Northern Counties Cricket Club and Treasurer for the Highland Cricket Development Group. Before retiring he’d worked as a Zoo Keeper, Laboratory Technician, Civil Servant, Training Manager and Consultant and Education and Welfare Manager.

He is married to Christine and has two sons, William and Christopher and two grand children, Freddie and Toby

Nicola Macrae – Treasurer

Nicola is the current Treasurer of NMPG.

Nicola has lived in Inverness most of her life, with short stints in Australia, Dundee and Isle of Lewis.  She lives with her husband Ali and two teenage children in the neighbourhood of The Northern Meeting Park.  As well as being involved with the NMPG, Nicola is a member of The Ballifeary Community Council.

Currently employed as an Analyst Researcher, Nicola is a trained nurse and worked in Raigmore for several years. Previous employment also includes working for Boots, Highland Council, an accountants and as the co-ordinator of a community owned sports and community centre.

Nicola enjoys crafts of all kinds.

Cris Ford – Secretary

Happily married (most of the time) to Jon Ford. She has 2 grown up sons, one in Inverness, and one in Melbourne. She is a retired primary teacher and head teacher of Kirkhill Primary School who enjoys walking the dog, keeping house, reading, meeting  friends and occasionally travelling.

She also Vice Chair of the local Community Centre Board ,secretary of the Northern Counties Cricket Club and on the Family Mediation Board. She also tutors 2 children and helps to care for her  6 month old grandson. So never bored!
